The Babe Bus ("The Babe Bus," "we," "our," or "us") is a mobile esthetics business based in Denver, Colorado. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you visit thebabebus.net (the "Site"), book or receive our services, or communicate with us.
By using the Site or booking our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or book with us.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you book an appointment, complete a form, purchase something, or contact us, we may collect:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Service address (the location where we will provide mobile services) and parking or access instructions
- Service preferences, appointment history, and notes about your services
- Consultation and intake information, which may include skin type, allergies and sensitivities, medications, pregnancy or nursing status, recent treatments, and other health-related information relevant to providing services safely (see Section 2)
- Your signature and acknowledgments on consent, intake, and waiver forms
- Photos of treatment areas, only with your separate written consent
- Messages you send us by email, text, social media, or through the Site
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number. Our payment provider may store a secure token for your card so that we can process payment at the time of service and any fees described in our Cancellation Policy.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring website, and similar information through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 6).
Information from other sources. We may receive information from our booking and scheduling platform, our payment provider, or social media platforms when you interact with or tag us.
2. Health-Related and Sensitive Information
To provide services safely, we ask about skin conditions, allergies, medications, and similar details during consultation and intake. We collect this information only to determine whether a service is appropriate for you and to perform it safely. By submitting this information, you consent to our collecting and using it for that purpose.
We are not a medical provider, and this information is not protected health information under HIPAA. We nonetheless treat it as confidential: it is shared only with the licensed professional providing your service and as required by law, and it is never used for marketing.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Schedule, confirm, manage, and provide appointments
- Travel to and locate your service address
- Communicate with you about services, bookings, and your account
- Send appointment confirmations and reminders by email or text (see Section 4)
- Process payments, deposits, and fees under our Cancellation Policy
- Determine suitability for services and provide aftercare instructions
- Respond to questions and requests
- Send promotional messages, only where you have opted in
- Improve our services, Site, and client experience
- Protect the safety of our clients and staff, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms & Conditions
- Comply with legal, licensing, insurance, and tax obligations
4. Text Messages (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you consent to receive appointment confirmations, reminders, and service-related text messages from The Babe Bus. Promotional or marketing texts are sent only if you separately opt in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Opting out of texts may mean you do not receive appointment reminders; you remain responsible for your appointment under our Cancellation Policy.
Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in information will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only:
- With service providers who help us operate, including online booking and scheduling, payment processing, email and text messaging, website hosting, and analytics. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
- With professional advisors such as our accountant, insurer, or attorney when reasonably necessary.
- To comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of The Babe Bus, our clients, or others.
- In a business transfer, if The Babe Bus is sold, merged, or transfers its assets, in which case your information may be transferred subject to this Policy.
- With your consent, for any other purpose you approve.
6. Cookies and Analytics
The Site does not currently set any cookies, use analytics tools, or run advertising pixels, and it does not store anything on your device. If we add analytics or similar technologies in future, we will update this Policy and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site features. Where required by law, we honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain accurate client records, meet legal, insurance, and licensing requirements, and resolve disputes. Signed consent and waiver forms and related intake records are kept for at least three years after your last appointment, or longer where the law requires.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on reputable third-party platforms for booking, payment, and messaging. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by Colorado law.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may, at any time:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information, subject to records we must keep for legal, insurance, or licensing reasons
- Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link) or texts (reply STOP)
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are a Colorado resident and the Colorado Privacy Act applies to us, you also have the right to appeal a decision on your request by replying to our response.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Clients under 18 may receive services only with a parent or legal guardian's consent as described in our Terms & Conditions and Service Agreement. If you believe a child has provided us information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Links and Platforms
The Site may link to third-party websites, booking platforms, payment pages, and social media. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on the Site, and your continued use of the Site or services after posting means you accept the updated Policy.
